40 Shelters Provided to Facilitate Flood Victims

Jakarta Provincial Government provided 40 shelters for flood victims in Jakarta.

We must make sure to fulfill the flood victims needs

Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Head, Subejo informed, up to 1 PM on Tuesday (2/25), as many as 294 RWs or 10,74 percent of total RWs in Jakarta were flooded.

"Total 973 families or 3,565 people who evacuate," he added.

His side collaborated with other regional apparatus organizations (OPD)s such as Social Department, Gulkarmat Department, Satpol PP, and Health Department to help the flood victims.

"We must make sure to fulfill the flood victims needs, including those who are evacuating," he said.

Jakarta BPBD's Data and Information Center Department Head, Mohammad Insaf stated the information obtained from BMKG that flood occurred on Tuesday was caused by extreme rain as high as 278 mm/day as measured from Kemayoran Meteorology Station.

"At 1 PM , water level at Angke and Karet Sluice Gates reached Alert 1 status. While Alert 2 at Manggarai Sluice Gate with water level of 915 cm," he added.
